THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID AWARDS ITS ARCO 2026 PRIZE TO LOS BRAVÚ, FEDERICO MIRÓ AND LUCE

Regional Minister De Paco Serrano presented the award today as part of ARCO, the International Contemporary Art Fair.

4 march 2026.- Today, Mariano de Paco Serrano, Regional Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Community of Madrid, awarded the Community of Madrid ARCO Prize 2026 to the artists Los Bravú, Federico Miró and LUCE. The selected works were, respectively, the painting En la grieta brilla el deseo (2025) presented by Galería El Apartamento; the folding screen with painted intervention Untitled (2026) presented by F2 Galería; and the photographs Toldo Cruces Almería (2024) presented by Galería 1Mira Madrid. All three works will become part of the collection of Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Móstoles. Through this award, established in 2008, the regional government recognises the distinctive contribution of artists participating in this annual contemporary art event.

The jury was composed of José Lebrero Stals, adviser to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport’s Committee for the Acquisition of Works of Art; Amaya Alzaga Ruiz, Professor of Art History at UNED; Tania Pardo, Director of Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo; Asunción Cardona Suanzes, Deputy Director-General for Fine Arts of the Community of Madrid; and Manuel Lagos Gismero, Director-General for Culture and Creative Industries of the Community of Madrid.
