7 March 2026.— The Community of Madrid, in collaboration with Metro de Madrid, has transformed Móstoles Central station with photographs from the Regional Government’s Contemporary Art Collection in order to promote Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) in Móstoles and introduce passengers to the institution.
Travellers can already enjoy this installation, which offers a glimpse of the diversity of works that make up the Regional Government’s art collection. It includes a section devoted to photography featuring renowned figures such as Ouka Leele, Miguel Trillo and Luis Baylón.
It also features images of sculptures, textile art and some of the Regional Government’s most recent acquisitions by established artists like Adolfo Schlosser, Eva Lootz and Susana Solano, alongside works by emerging artists like Sol Calero and Sahatsa Jauregi.
Beyond attracting visitors to the museum, the station intervention promotes the use of public transport, enhances the passenger experience and contributes to the expansion of cultural and leisure opportunities across the Community of Madrid, following the example of similar initiatives already in place at Canal, La Latina, Estación del Arte, Retiro, Ríos Rosas, Portazgo and Arroyofresno stations.
Museo CA2M is the Community of Madrid’s only institution devoted exclusively to contemporary art. It houses more than 3,000 works and has been the custodian of the ARCO Foundation Collection, comprising over 400 works, since 2014. The museum also offers an extensive programme of activities, including guided tours, school workshops and film series, and welcomed 60,000 visitors last year.
