We are coming to the last session of Ciudad Sur, the closure of a programme that has been brimming with walks, activations, experimentation and intersecting reflections, with Móstoles (Madrid) at the centre.

In these two years, each of the sessions has left a trail of ideas that have grown, intertwined and left us the seeds of many other new ideas, which will sprout and transform both inside and outside our beloved Ciudad Sur. Throughout this entire time, our relationship with our city has also transformed. Now it is a bit more ‘ours’, a bit more familiar to us, and each of the spaces we’ve gone through is left forever laden with our shared experiences.

In this last session, we are going back to the green spectre the most closely attached to the land, from a perspective that invites us to germinate other futures and possibilities that are sustainable and caring of people and the environments they live in. To do so, we will enlist Habiba Youssef, who holds a bachelor’s in Economics and Sustainable Development and is an expert in Permaculture. Her projects develop within the fields of agroecology, ecofeminism, the regenerative and sustainable use of natural resources and work with migrants and refugees. The process will be complemented by the graphic reporting of the artist Lisa Malina.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the entrance to Parque Finca Liana in Móstoles (Madrid) across from the Teatro del Bosque to celebrate the closure of this series. Drinks and snacks will be welcome so we can close the session with a picnic.
