Ana Gallardo. Here Trembled a Delirium

Produced on the occasion of Ana Gallardo’s exhibition at Museo CA2M in Móstoles, Here Trembled a Delirium brings the artist’s work into dialogue with a collective reflection by a number of writers and activists. At the heart of the debate is a subject that, for a variety of historical reasons, has often been overlooked: the violence inflicted on women, territories and forms of knowledge.

The publication considers the scars left by technologies of death deployed as part of a colonial and patriarchal system of governance, as well as ways of resisting and setting limits on capitalism’s drive to treat life as a resource from which profit and privilege can be extracted for the benefit of a few. Co-published with Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo.

Edited by Violeta Janeiro and Alfredo Aracil. Texts by Tania Pardo, Sayak Valencia, María Us, Verónica Gago, Silvia Schwarzböck, Kekena Corvalán, Manuel Olvera, Ana Gallardo, Alfredo Aracil and Violeta Janeiro.  Editorial coordination by Paula Eslava. Editorial design by Clara Sancho studio.
