CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo

We are more possible than you could imagine

Sub21 is a self-run group of young people between the ages of sixteen and twenty-one who are interested in culture, art and community life. This school year the team will focus on utopian art practices that propose experimental forms of organisation, dissident attitudes and collective processes of creation.

We will investigate the possibilities of jointly designing a T.A.Z. (Temporary Autonomous Zone) within the museum. Using auto-construction strategies we will create a base camp and we will set in place new languages and methodologies that will foster alternative forms of relating with the outside world. An autonomous refuge where we can simple be, where we can create and share experiences, and develop our own programming.

During the year the team will engage with various projects, will visit other spaces and will invite artists to carry out workshops which will help to conceive new models of collective organisation and creation.

The members of the current Sub21 team are: Paula Díaz Cano, Sandra Esteban López, Nadia Ettahri, Hanan Ettahri Lamas, Miguel Gallardo, Anabel López, Juan Luis Martínez, Ángela Rincón, Valeria Sevillano, Adriana Tomás, Jorge Librero Cano, Pablo Guy Eguía, Nora Saurina Martínez, Marina Viñarás Germano, Omar Ettahri Lamas, Miriam Domínguez García.
