BECOMING INVISIBLE / LIVING IN CLASS / STOPPING TIME
THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR
Times: the first two sessions, lasting two hours each, at school. The third open-ended session at CA2M, to be agreed with teacher
The groups in this workshop will explore art’s capacity to transform space and our conception of time. During the sessions we will play with the idea of sharing places and altering the duration of everyday events. To this end, we have invited the performing artist Aitana Cordero to jointly think with us about new possibilities for action. She proposes working with intimacy, something that is largely removed from schools. She wishes to experiment with bodies and objects. She wants to build a house in the classroom in order to inhabit it; she would like to eat and sleep among the chairs and desks. She wishes to propose actions to do from invisibility, to organise parties in the dark, to transform ourselves into a family (or not), and to bombard us with questions.
Final cycle of secondary school
