BIDUTZI TK. AT FOUR IN THE BATHROOM
THEATRE WORKSHOP WITH ANE AND MAIDER
SATURDAYS 11 - 18 MAY
16:30 - 20:00
“My pregnant aunt asked my father to find a Basque name for her daughter. My dad decided to play a prank on her and proposed the name Bidutzi (monster in Basque) without telling her its real meaning. My aunt loved it, and decided to name my cousin Bidutzi. For three months, she carried a “monster” inside her, a monster she loved and wanted to have. When the time came to give birth, my dad decided to end the prank and he confessed the real meaning of Bidutzi. When my aunt found out, she was horrified and changed the baby’s name to Viviana.”
In this workshop we’ll give a body to Bidutzi. Not to Bidutzi/Viviana, but to Bidutzi/us. Bidutzi is the disturbing guest. With that in mind, we will work with the costumes, body, light, darkness and fog, creating a story through the visible and the invisible.
The workshop starts with an appointment: at four in the bathroom.
Young people aged 13 to 21 years.
All activities at CA2M are free.
