LAS SIN NOMBRE THEATRE COMPANY
STRANGE STAGE STUDIES
It’s not easy to describe exactly what this involves. It’s got something monstrous about it, something of science fiction, something that at times seems to make sense, like what happens when there is no one to see it happening, lots of layers, the power of the imagination, so just step in and see something totally unexpected, two realities.
Throughout the last school year, the Las Sin Nombre theatre company got together to expand the limits of theatre. And now it wants to go even further, to create a laboratory of strange stage studies open to members between the ages of 13 and 21 years. Over the course of the year the members of the theatre company will carry out workshops and encounters with playwrights, stagehands, set designers, costume makers and lighting technicians. It will be a space without hierarchies or a set plan where people can share common interests and experiences, discover strategies for the stage and put together their own project for the theatre.
To get the project off to a start on 2, 3 & 4 January, the artist Anto Rodríguez will pay a visit to Las Sin Nombre, and give a workshop exploring methodologies and rethinking ways of working collectively in the theatre. A trip towards the unknown that will put our imagination to the test.
